Ever dream of walking the streets of Tokyo and immersing yourself in its culture? Of going to the amazing Tokyo Anime Fair? Now may be your chance. From now until February 15, 2008, Anime Selects will be accepting audition uploads to cast our next Tokyo Reporter. All you have to do is videotape yourself and send it to us using the “Upload Video” button below. During your audition you can Cosplay, talk about your favorite anime of all time, and even interview your friends. It’s you versus the rest of America – so be creative! To help you get started, we’ve included a list of great audition ideas below that you can print out. The best audition videos will appear here and on Anime Selects Video on Demand. Only one video audition will be accepted per person – so make your audition the best it can be. Who knows? You just might be our “Next Tokyo Reporter.” If selected, you’ll be our on-camera reporter covering the Tokyo Anime Fair, Tokyo’s cultural highlights and nightlife. Viewers will be able to send in reporter assignment suggestions through our blog on this page as well.

(Our selected Tokyo Reporter must be at least 18 years old, have a valid passport, and be free to travel to Tokyo between the dates of March 24th to March 30, 2008. Complete details are included in the on-line sign-up form you’ll complete when uploading your video.)

The video must be under 10 minutes in length and under 100 megabytes in size. We accept the following popular video formats: .avi, .mpg, .wmv, .mp4 and .mov.

The deadline to upload your video is February 15, 2008 at 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time).
